"The Flowers" is a song for anyone who has lost someone in their life. The longing we feel to see that someone again, and the sadness we feel missing them is turned into a feeling of comfort when you hear this song. Cristina recounts a dream she had with someone she lost, the journey they took together, and the happiness she felt in the end, seeing that someone reunite with his family "into the flowers." Cristina reminds us that we can dream about them, think about them, and know they are still with us. The song is powerfully emotional, hits you right in the heart, and pulls tears of joy right out from under you. The flowers symbolize comfort, and this song does just that.
